Client A was divorcing her partner and as part of the divorce she was entitled to a pension sharing order.

The solicitor asked us to complete a full pension review for client A to see how best to distribute each pension. Once the pension sharing order was in place we were able to reach out to each pension provider and complete a full review of each scheme.

The outcome was that one scheme allowed client A to retain some historic scheme benefits if the funds were kept with the same provider and therefore we were able to help client A set up a new scheme with the same entitlement.

We then helped consolidate the remaining schemes and from this were able to work with the client on a long term financial plan. Now client A knew exactly what assets she had post-divorce we could run a number of cashflow simulations
